Welcome to a blog focused on positive aging!
Would you like to age gracefully? With your mind in tact and your outlook positive? I am a psychologist focused on tapping people’s positive potential. My posts are designed to educate and inspire! Please share your thoughts, comments and questions.
Hi and congratulations on your new blog! The story about “slings and arrows” reminds me of how my body and mind were much more agile than they are now. At 25, I was a moving and thinking at the speed of light! “Late middle age” has slowed the pace for me considerably.
I’m also reminded of the fact that at 87 years old, my dad is aging rapidly even though he is blessed with great capacity in many areas (a real blessing). I’m looking forward to learning more about aging and how it affects my dad and me. I hope to gain some insights into how to support him when needed and when to let him lead the way. Admittedly, I am doing a lot more attending when I’m around him lately. So, here’s to aging with integrity and joy and viewing life through some new lenses!

I am not sure if my comment was received. Anyhow, I don’t mind to repeat, dear Pat, that I applaud you for taking the courage, facing challenge and inspiring the rest of us to follow your journey. Thank you.
With you, Olga.

I love the idea of sharing the adventure of aging with others- not to romanticize this time in my life, but to find commonality of experience that for me is a good thing. Aging is both a curious time and a scary time. I try to keep the scary part below the horizon- this works most of the time. Carry on Pat, I’m right there with you.
